New to forum...
Greetings!
We just purchased an older motorhome. A 1993 Allegro Bay 33 with slide. It's got its issues, and I will be needing advice on where to find parts, service and other things as we restore it and use it. We are going to work on it over the rest of the winter in prep for spring and summer trips. Thanks and a pleasure to be here!

Welcome aboard Bill
Sounds like you have a busy winter ahead. Jump in with both feet and ask anything. The Allegro forum stays pretty active so help is here.
Hopefully you won't run into any unexpected issues and will be ready for Spring.
Hope you have a great holiday season and maybe we will see you on the road.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new rig.
You are joining a lot of good folks here with good info to share. Read the various thread here and ask questions as they come up,. You might want to look at the vintage RV thread as well as the Tiffin owners thread as a place for questions.
Good luck and enjoy the adventure.

I sent a "thanks" to everyone for the warm welcome, but wanted to further expand on what I see with this project so you wonderful folks can help point me in the right direction(s)!
Here is what we are undertaking: It's a 1993 Allegro Bay (33') with a slide out. Some of the furnishings have been removed. That's no biggee. It has its roof leaks and we are covering it with a tarp at the moment. 79,000 miles on it and the front end is at the point of starting to get sloppy. Not bad, but it is kind of loose. So tie rod ends, bushings, idler arm etc. need to be looked at. Also there's a power steering issue. Sitting it seems fine, but once you're in gear it whines and works intermittently. Pump or belt? It is also my understanding, but I'm not 100% sure yet, that the power steering pump assists braking, and the brakes are spongy and you have to pump them, which was kind of sphincter tightening on the drive home with it. Especially going through Spokane and city traffic/lights. etc. Both power steering and hydraulic reservoirs are full and clear. Going to need tires of course. Of course oil change, filters and tune up. 454 purrs like a kitten, though. Steps worked when we left Moses Lake but didn't work when we pulled into driveway at home. That can be an easy fix once it dries out around here and I can lay under it. Back up cam monitor needs replaced. Three prong swtich for slide out needs replaced. Button doesn't work but you can touch the "in" or "out" wire to the common and the slide works. Upon a cursory look online, no buttons seem to match what this one looks like. No leaks in sewer or water. Propane works on all appliances. But that's where we are facing. Thanks for the opportunity and direction! I look forward to the relationships through this forum!
