We enjoyed our EKKO very much and made trips already to Oregon. The EKKO is truly 4 seasons RV. I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy yours as well.
Again good luck to you and if you happen to have some questions about your EKKO please let me know.

Mahaxp, thanks for your note. Despite all the "teething problems" the Ekko is having, we really think this model will meet our needs very well. While we may boondock only intermittently, we expect that the high level of self-containment will allow us to cover a lot of ground on cross-country trips.
We could catch a few winks at rest areas, spend the night in parking lots or cheaper, no-hookup sites, etc. all with no setup or takedown of hookups. Also, we could could drive closer to or slightly above the speed limit here in these western states where you can go 80 in many cases. In Idaho last year, for example, the interstate traffic would go 85 vs. the 80 MPH limit. No matter what the speed limit, I am not comfortable pulling a trailer at more than 60-65 MPH. Since we have a lot of ground to cover, that would make a real difference in our daily range.
We are very interested to hear anything about the shower drain recall fix. That original design really seems like it was not well thought out, so we'll want to look closely at the correction. As you may have heard, customer deliveries have been halted even for units that have arrived at the selling dealer.
Anyway, as a current owner, please let me know what you hear about the timing and design of the fix.
Thanks, and happy new year!
