New to forum and motorhome
Hi all. I found this forum while researching our "new" motorhome. Just bought a 1991 Beaver Baronet 35ft with 3116 Cat on Gillig chassis. My wife and I have been rvers since 1996 when I retired from USCG. We had a 1996 Jayco 32 travel trailer until about a year ago. Pulled it with 1993 Dodge with CTD and 5 speed for 6 years then 2001 Dodge with CTD and 5 speed for 10 more years. Looks like lots of great people and info here. Looking forward to getting motorhomeing and meeting up with some of you.
When not traveling I build street rods and restore mopar muscle cars. Latest is 1933 Plymouth coupe with 5.7 Hemi and 5 speed auto out of 04 Dodge truck. More later.

Welcome... My husband is also into car restoration, mainly C3 Corvettes. We enjoy rv'ing but rv'ing at car shows is a bonus. Many of the car shows we attend have onsite camping with full hookups. We meet so many nice folks at car shows and also at campgrounds so it's a win win situation when you have both at the same venue. My husband is in his glory... if he is not talking about cars he is talking about the MH.

Welcome to the forum. It's not just "new" it's tried and true and pre-loved (at least that's what I tell myself). Driving stick will soon be a lost art. I intend to teach my kids three on a tree as well. Wait you're not repowering with a Chevy small/big block and Ford rear end? I thought everyone used that ad nauseum. I'm happy to see rods powered the way their manufacturer would have intended. USCG? Tell your coherts thank them for their service. Water can be a very dangerous mistress. (Then again what mistress isn't dangerous?)
Enjoy your Beaver! Day or night she'll be sure to please you.
