Hello to all!
The wife and I left California after 30+ years and moved to Florida to escape the excessive taxes of the Golden State. We purchased a 2014 Tiffin 33AA in 2015 and began exploring our new home state on the weekends and over long holiday weekends. Since my wife is retired we only have to worry about my work schedule so getting away to do a little exploring is not that difficult.
This state is an RVer's dream! We have camped on the beach along both coasts and down in the Key's, explored the crystal clear springs, multiple water ways, and truly enjoyed St Augustine (My favorite).
I joined this blog in hopes of learning from those of you who have gone before and can share some of your lessons learned on parks you enjoyed, repairs you've completed and the do's and don't's of RVing.

In St. Augustine did you camp at Anastasia ST. Park? Next to FT. Clinch in Amelia Island Anastasia is our favorite.
Continue to enjoy the adventure.

We stayed at North Beach RV park on the A1A and really enjoyed it. The next trip back to St. Augustine we were not able to get into the North Beach RV park so we stayed at the KOA which was nice also. There is plenty of history and things to do in that area so I would plan on staying at least a week to get the most out of the visit.
We took our bikes to explore around the lighthouse one day and stumbled upon the Gator Farm. The entry fee was $20 which seemed a bit high to me and I asked the young lady selling the tickets if it was worth $20? She said, "Sure". So we paid and went in. She was correct. We spent the next 4 hours walking around the grounds and viewing the multitude of different species of alligators, wild birds and other exotic animals they have there. It's well worth a visit if your looking for something different to do one day that doesn't involve the beach, large crowds and involves nature.
