New to iRV2

Hi all,

Glad to join this community. I've been lurking for about a week. My wife and I are currently about 3-4 years from purchasing what we think will be a 30-34 foot Class A motorhome in the $100,000 to $150,000 range.

In the past we've owned an Aliner with which we traveled around the country and into Alaska full time for 6 months. After deciding to stay in Alaska for a year, we traded in the Aliner on a Fleetwood 22ft trailer that we eventually took to Flagstaff and used well for about 6 years. We had a great time in both units. We sold off the Fleetwood in 2007 when we thought that we were moving to Washington State and thought that our 100,000 mile Grand Cherokee was too worn out to try pulling it over the western mountains again.

Plans changed and although we still own our home in Flagstaff and are planning to return next May, we've been in Indiana for 3 years to help out with my wife's aging parents.

So sadly, we are without an RV of any sort for a few more years, but the research and planning has started. It will be a long wait, but we are so excited to have a motorhome on the calendar again.

I don't have much to contribute here, but I'll be reading a lot and asking even more questions as we get within a year of our purchase.

Thanks to all the good folks here who provide so much useful information for those of us who really need it. I hope I can return the favor in the future.

Thanks. I'm sure we'll find what we need. Right now, at the beginning, it's a bit overwhelming. We're liking what we see in the Newmar Bay Star more than any other coach in its price range. Things will change a lot in the next few years, so all this discovery now is kinda moot, but fun.
