New to iRV2

Hi, I'm a recently retired network engineer (most recently with HP), currently based in Corvallis, Oregon. I'm hoping to earn some money with real estate investing, but I'm just getting started in that field. I'm also looking at selling the house, and one thought would be to just live in the RV for a while, although my current motorhome is smallish for fulltime, especially if I'm going to try to work from it sometimes.

I have a 2012 Thor Freedom Elite 21, which is a 24 ft motorhome. (I never understood why they called a 24 ft motorhome "Freedom Elite 21", but I gave up trying to understand marketing-speak long ago...

I've been RVing off and on for a few years. In 2018 I spent about 2-3 months living in my RV, mostly visiting family in Oklahoma.

I'm far from am expert, but I've RV'd enough that I've wound up dealing with a few repairs myself. At first I was really afraid of screwing stuff up, but now I understand at least some parts of the thing to be comfortable doing many repairs myself.

The.Freedom Elite has quite a generous cargo space for a 24 ft motorhome, but I still wind up carrying a lot of stuff I don't need - like far too many tools.

I had a lot of issues with tail lights and rear running lights, with the light bulb socket corroding because water had gotten inside. I've now replaced all of them with fixtures that have integrated LEDs. They're much brighter, although they use less power, and I'm hoping they'll last longer. Even though they're waterproof, I tried to further waterproof them, either spraying the insides with silicone conformal coating, or lots of silicone sealer around the sensitive parts, or a combination.

I guess I don't have any photos of my rig handy, I'll try to put some in my profile at some point...
