New to IRV2 and to Motor Homes

My wife and I planned on getting a Motorhome and and seeing the Country in another 2-3 years when we retire. We came upon a very clean 2001 Monaco Dynasty 40' tag with 70K miles that we fell in love with so we plan on being weekend warriors for a couple of years and then take off and tour for some time. We had travel trailers when our kids were young and have always enjoyed camping as well as the friendly people we were blessed to meet, they have been great memories and now we are looking forward to making more. I have been reading on this site for a couple of weeks and have found a lot of valuable information. We bought our MH from private party and got good instruction but I forgot most of it on the drive home. We have not taken it out yet, so far spending all my free time giving it a complete service and learning how things work. I am very happy that I found this site and look forward to learning from all the great experience that is here.

Welcome to RVing

Two years ago I bought a 2007 Sea Breeze MH. This was the best thing for us as we have traveled from Ct to Tx to Fl and back to Ct.
You will enjoy traveling by MH as you get to enjoy the local culture.
I will be departing shortly for Texas then on to Fl the keys then up to Daytona for Speed Weeks.
See on the road.
Safe travels

Wow. Good choice, not too few miles for the age.

I'd draw a 30 mile or so circle around your house, find parks within that area.

Heck, you can even camp in the driveway!

Again, congratulations.
