New to IRV2, but Long Time RVers

Hello everyone. Have been on the forum a couple of weeks now and enjoying it a lot and always learning.

My wife and I have both RV'd with our families since we were little kids. Not long after we were married we bought a used 24' Travel Trailer and haven't been without some form of RV since. Several travel trailers, a 5th wheel, a class C, a couple of Class A gassers and on our 2nd Class A DP now.

Our two daughters and their families both have RV's (TT and Tent Camper) and we get together several times a year at some campground for family outtings.

Next year at this time we'll both be retired and plan to spend much more time in the RV. We'll never be full-timers, but do plan to spend several of the cold months OUT of Minnesota!

We've been as far south and east as Florida and as far north and west as Edmonton, Alberta in our RV. We've been in a lot of states from Western North Carolina to Arizona and Montana to Ohio. What we've missed are the coastal states...East, West, and Gulf. Since we're still working, the "extended" trips we're looking forward to are the East Coast and NorthEast and also the West Coast.

I'm an early US History nut, so really looking forward to spending a lot of time on the East Coast and Northeast. I build and shoot flintlock muzzleloaders as part of my passion for early American History.

Glad to be here and looking forward to always learning more and perhaps contributing a little as well.

Mike and Donna

from WA State.

Kind of sounds like me. Parents rented a TT im 1957 and ordered their first in 1958. I got my first TT in 1968 and haven't been without one since.

Welcome and congrats on the lifestyle and up coming retirement. Lots of good folks here.

I share you history interest and in fact we are about to do a semi history tour of the east coast this summer. STarting with the Natchez Trace next week.

Enjoy the adventure.

I have not been on it, but the Natchez Trace looks like a great place to check out.

Good info from the NPS and a 5 minute video that's fantastic! Only thing that surprises me is that with it being a designated route for bicyclists, they have no dedicated lane for them...not even shoulders on the road.

Thanks, everyone, for the warm welcome.
