New to IRV2 forums

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum and look forward to communicating with other RV owners so I can obtain more knowledge in the RVing way of life. My wife and I recently purchased a 2018 Winnebago Minnie 2250DS trailer and I tow it with a 2016 Ford F-150 XLT super crew cab 3.5 Liter Ecoboost. The unit is 4800lbs dry unloaded and my truck pulls it fine. I am also a member of the Winnebago Owners forum. This is my third travel trailer. I am looking forward to camping in our new Minnie and if any other owners have this model or a similar model please feel free to reply. If you don’t have this model still reply because I enjoy talking to other RV owners and their different camp grounds they have camped at. Have a great night!

Steve & Norma

Waiting for Ours

Hi there. We have a 2250ds on order and it should be arriving any day. This is a bit longer camper than we are used to pulling. Do you use a sway bar? Any problems towing?

Yes, A good weight distribution system is far better than just a sway bar by itself...

Your Winnebago Minnie 2250DS trailer is 27' long. A WD set-up is highly recommended.

Yes Like the others have said You want a good WD hitch Blue Ox E2 and Equalizer to name a few. Make sure it’s intalled correctly and there are plenty of You Tube videos that explain each system. My TV is 16 F150 3.5L ecoboost 3.55 rear end and tows it like it’s not back there. Also Facebook Winnebago Minnie travel trailer owners is a group you want to join. They are wealth of knowledge on Winnebago towable trailers. I learn something new about everyday. If you have questions about your 2250DS I will be happy to try and answer them. I looked over every inch roof, inside, and underbelly when we did the PDI. Have the dealer turn on evey system in the unit while your there.
