This mh did not work out despite camper world's assurances that everything had been checked out. Your posts were all very helpful. We compiled a list of concerns specific to this year make and model of mh. Dh then took the list to a garage that repairs motor homes and big rigs as suggested by Dixieray53.

The exhaust manifold was leaking carbon monoxide into the drivers cabin and over head bunk. The propane system was leaking in a way that could explode. The repair garage would not even give dh the dot paperwork as that would imply the mh was street safe. They gave him a copy to take back to camper world. Our deposit was refunded in full. So glad I insisted that be put into writing and signed by the sales manager.

Your posts were so very helpful to us. I cannot thank you enough.

Unfortunately, camper world put the mh right back on their sales lot even knowing what the garage had said about it. It is still listed on Craig's list.

Thank you for all of your help. We will continue looking.

So glad you were able to learn so much BEFORE making the purchase! You will find the right rig for you - just keep looking. Expand your area for shopping. When you find another rig that looks like it could be the right one, check it out! You know what to do now! Plus, search the model online & here at irv2. You'll find reviews or issues from owners.

We started our rving in a 26' Class A that had no slides. We realized we liked part-timing. Then we accepted jobs in Alaska for the tourist season. And we knew that for us living in the small A was not going to work out for us. We traded for a 31' with 2 slides. We had 2 great summers working the dream in Juneau. Now we are in a 37' with 3 slides. Love our floor plan. We really enjoy getting out on the road visiting family & seeing our great country.

Let us know what you're looking at next! And we will eventually see you on the roads!

Safe travels!

Some good advice above. Here is a dealer to check to compare prices before you buy. They handle a lot of consignments.

Used RVs for Sale - PPL Motor Homes

Good Luck,
Jon

X2 on using the ppl site. If you look their site over you'll find a history listing the coaches that sold in last two years and the price they sold for. Comes in handy, along with NADA.
