New to motor homes

We got our first motorhome like 2 weeks ago, at the same time I had rotator cuff surgery. Just could not pass a good deal.
So the motorhome is going to sit on the storage lot for the next couple months until I can turn the steering wheel. Meanwhile I have lots of time to study the manuals and do minor improvements, like bay door struts, cabinet hinge replacements and other simple things.

Welcome to iRV2 .

Wishing you a speedy recovery ( don't overdo the physio therapy ) and safe travels , once you're mobile.

Ditto on the MH! In this age of Covid, I think you will find that the MH will increase your mobility! In more ways than one, not just your shoulder! The MH will let you avoid rest area bathrooms, restaurants, hotels, and planes. And at the RV park, there's enough social distance. So far this year, we've gotten away twice and getting out of the house after weeks of staying home has been great. We all have learning curves on motorhomes so this is a good place to go for all your questions. My advice for now is to get your oil changed (engine and generator), get new fuel filters for both engine and generator, change the transmission fluid (Transynd), and last but not least, have all oils and fluids analyzed before changing them. How are your tires? Stuff like that while you heal.

Congrats on the new coach. Would like to add, take it from a guy that has had 7 surgeries on the right shoulder, two artificial shoulder surgeries, an adjustment to the second artificial shoulder with another coming, don't play around with your surgery. If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't have used it any more than what the PT said I could after the first surgery. Heal quickly.
