Smile New to Motorhoming in Syracuse, NY

Hi this is Kathy (kitty161) and Bill and we just bought a used Winnebago, Vectra ( 1994) and we've been cleaning and fixing it to make it our own. Going camping this weekend for first time in it and we hope it's warm. We live in the north country in New York State so it gets really cold and we get a lot of snow. We probably won't go out again this year but looking forward to next spring.

Congrats on your new to you rig. I would have loved to get a vectra because they are top of the line. We bought a 1994 Winnebago Brave 4 years ago. Love it! Are you going to try and make it out west? Lots to see and do out here. Cheers!

1st outing

Well our first outing with our new/used Vectra went well. Everything worked great. We kept warm and dry. Thank you all for your good wishes.
We're really glad we found our motorhome on craigs list.Great buy for the money. We are looking at changing out some of the doors for the compartments around bottom of unit. Because it's a 94 there is a lot of rust/holes along bottom of doors and we were thinking of buying some aluminium and replacing but does anyone else have a better idea or know of a good RV grave yard around NYS? We want to make our little home away from home just perfect. So send me your suggestions will be glad to hear them. We won't be traveling much this winter because we live in the north country of NYS and we get some bad winters up here plus we still both work ( looking forward to retirement) but come spring we will travel as far as we can but probably won't make it out west until we retire. Well it's off to work, everyone have a great day ..

Welcome. Grew up in Fulton. I remember the winters there. That is why I have lived in Florida since graduation. Enjoy your RV. Best way to travel and see the country !
