New to RV
My husband, Rusty, and I bought a fifth wheel so we could live in it while Rusty worked away from home. We use to stay on our Seawind 1000 Cat but I need to get off the boat for a while so we bought a Columbus in March. Normally, Rusty works from June until December and we go to the Exumas ( southern Bahamas) from January until June.
We are considering RV-ing this year but we know absolutely nothing about traveling in an RV. At the moment we don't even have a vehicle that can pull our RV. We would be heading out in March. Currently we are in the Corpus Christi, Texas area. We are a blank page and we are eager to hear from experienced RV-ers about their experiences and solicit advice.
We love history and have thought of doing a Civil War tour or an American Revolution tour.......we love the water and would love to include stops that would allow us to "bob" around in the water.
Looking forward to hearing from some of you!
Linda

You can find answers to questions you did did not even know you had just by reading the forums.

One difference is that you don't need to overdo it on spares the way you would in the Bahamas. If you can pull over, unhitch, and drive to the nearest NAPA, WalMart, etc. to buy it, then you probably don't need to be carrying it.

It is exciting to realize we have a Walmart around the corner. Plentiful food and no need for spares.......

Yes, it sure beats getting to the next island and wondering if they are out of diesel or milk or fresh water because the supply boat did not show up this week.
..., but then, where is the adventure in that?
