New to rv ing

Never had a camper. Bought a Forest River 5th wheel. Drive a Ram 2500 with a 6.7. I have a gooseneck hitch. How should I proceed to be able to tow the 5 ver?

Welcome

What does your fifth wheel weigh ???

Have you backed up to the new trailer to see if your electrical cords, electric brakes, safety cables, chains fit ???

Does your hitch ball fit ?
Is the trailer level with full weight on the truck ?

You didnt give much information about your rig.

Pictures would help ???

Good luck

Looking to hear back from you.

Hitch question

I havenít hooked up tp it. Just bought it from original owner. Thatís why I was asking. Owner said it was 11 thousand pounds. Heís storing it for me over winter in a heated building where itís been most of the time. Iíll need to buy a hitch of some type. Looked at convert-a-ball. Have a b and w gooseneck in my truck now. Donít expect to do a lot of pulling. Maybe put on a Lake for the season.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new rig.

You are joining a good group of folks here with good info to share. Sorry I cannot help as we have a MH and not a trailer. Read the various threads here including the one on 5th wheel discussion and ask questions as they come up.

Good luck and enjoy the adventure!
