Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang here!

Sounds like you've got a few problems to work out! You're right, they don't tell you anything unless you specifically ask! You'll find lots of help here. Just post your questions over in the specific areas that you're dealing with.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Welcome to the WWRO, (Wonderful World of RV Ownership)!
Based on the experiences I've had, I think your fun has only just begun!

IMO, because the "salesperson sure ain't gonna tell you", it should be mandatory that all RVs come with the following disclaimer:
"CAUTION: if/when you use this RV, (and even if/when you don't), something will break, stop working and/or need maintenance".

Welcome and glad to meet you!

Why would used RV buying be any different from used car or house buying. You have to get someone to inspect what ever you wish to buy. If the price is "too good to be true", there is most likely a reason for that.

Welcome to iRV2! You have picked the right site to ask for assistance on any issues you have. Each time I have asked a question members are quick to reply with answers or directions to resources on where to look for help.
I had a 5th wheel that the slide would never "travel" and sit flush when returned to the travel mode. Although a used model it was in "like new" condition when we bought it. The dealer removed the slide and had the tracks for the gears redone with stops on top so it did worked well after that. The time it took was weeks and weeks but once done it eliminated all that frustration. Keep you chin up and take on one challenge at a time. Eventually you will find you have still saved a bunch of money that others spent and still need to spend on fixes.
Wishing you a speedy recovery on your fixes! Let us know how you are doing and again if you have questions do not hesitate to ask. Big or small there are no stupid questions here!
