New to RVing

Hi Folks,

We've never owned an RV before and just purchased a new Leisure Travel Vans Unity TB.

We had spent about 6 months researching and shopping, did lots of learning. Much of our time was spent looking at large class A diesel pushers, we love the space and luxury they offer. Part of the learning process was coming to the realisation that it's often difficult or impossible to park the big rigs in state, provincial and national parks in Canada & the US, one of our priorities.

The Unity TB offers us many of the things we want in a motorhome, all in a small package.

I have to admit that while we did a lot of reading before buying, the learning curve with ownership is pretty steep. So we're taking the Unity out for short trips, using all the systems & appliances. It's already so cold in Southern Alberta that we've winterised the rig, fairly easy but our confidence isn't real high yet.

The MB Sprinter chassis drives like a dream, fuel consumption about the same as our SUV so it hasn't been a big shock.

We've read many threads on iRV2 as part of our learning and we're appreciative of all the great information available. Hopefully we'll be able to contribute In the future as we gain experience.

Regards,
Brad & Arlene Shannon

Here's another "Welcome from South Carolina"!! Enjoy your new toy... while they can be frustrating (not to mention costly) at times, they are worth it when things are going well!!

Enjoy!
