New to RVing

Hi all,
My wife and I are just starting out in RVing. We are in the process of buying an RV and are looking for as much info as we can get. This looks like an informative site. Surely hope so!

Welcome fellow newbie! We jumped in with both feet a few weeks ago and will be picking up our new-to-us rig next week. Drinking from a fire hose is a good description of how much learning we've done in such a short time. But it's all good! And the folks here are incredible.

If you'd like to follow along with our victories and mistakes as we learn I invite you to check out our blog... yeah, we have a blog and we're newbies.

Anyway, to sum up what you're in store for... you're going to LOVE it!

Hi Tom, you don't say where in Florida but I'd highly recommend a trip to Lazy Days just outside of Tampa. This is one of the very best places to shop for any type of RV. I wouldn't necessarily buy one there - lots of other factors to consider - but it is a great place to look at lots of different types, models, and brands without having to deal with a salesman to get into every single unit.

Good luck and welcome to iRV2.

As a wannabe who's been roaming the internet for a year trying to learn everything I can before we buy our first Class A, I can tell you that you've come to the right place; this is the first and last place I go to ask questions and look up answers.

But, there are a couple other resources at your disposal: YouTube, for instance. Lots of excellent information there. Also, Google "rv blogs" and just start reading. Some you'll like, some you won't, but most have at least a little something to offer. Gone with the Wynns, Tachnomadia, Wheeling It, Love Your RV, Road Less Traveled... just to name a few off the top of my head.

Absorb and enjoy
