New to RVing

I've had a trailer before but this is my 1st step into RVing. We've been watching ads for 3 months or so and looked at a few mainly Class C but it wasn't until this week that we found one that we both agree on. As a matter of fact, it was almost instantly! I found a deal on a 27' Fleetwood Southwind Class A with very low miles so I jumped on it.

We did have to drive 2 hrs away to look at it but that was worth the trip. It had been sitting in storage 6 mo. without a battery but upon installing a used one it fired right up and the oil pressure came right up. I let it warm up while I lowered the tires down onto the ground (that was a big job!) and it purred like a kitten!

My biggest reason for buying an RV is as a tow vehicle for my kit built car. I have a planned 50th anniversary meeting/get together that I'd like to attend in just over a year. It's going to be a 2000 mile drive each way so I figure that I may as well see a few sights on the way! I'm thinking that the wife and myself are going to have a lot of fun with this!

Welcome aboard! This is a great place to share information and get answers to questions. Had a Southwind and pulled an S-10 Blazer, wasn't fast but we got there every time. Hoping you enjoy many years and miles making memories.
