New to RVing and iRV2

Kathy and I are new to rving and are on a steep learning curve. We are shopping for our first rv. We are looking at use class A diesel homes apx. 36 to 39 ft, 10 to 15 years old with under 100,000 miles. We have many questions, but will start with one. Is a crack in the fiberglass exterior panel at the corner of an opening a problem to be concerned about and how hard is it to repair? I'm trying to learn my way around this site so if this info is already on hear some where please point the way.

Hi Bob, Depending on where and what opening, it could be a stress crack. Take a picture of it and go to a body shop that repairs Fiberglass and see what they say.

Hi Bob & Kathy! Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you join us!

Can't help with your question but I'm sure someone will have some suggestions. One thing I would suggest....you will get much better results if you post future questions over in the specific area of the forum. Not many folks hang out here in the Welcome area, so your responses will be limited.
Maybe one of the Moderators will move this question over for you, since forum rules forbid posting the same question in different areas.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Welcome to the forum....as far as your fiberglass issue goes, it depends on where it is, how big it is and what caused it, whether it's serious or not. I would agree with Chuck 1935 and have a body shop look at it or a picture of it...Good Luck...

bob, just got our 1st class a, dp. used, few things to look for. as most do NOT come with warranty, tires/ the yr on them. cracks, any paper work with it, (last time oil/generator changed). getting a 3rd party warranty, depends on mileage/yr an could cost $$$$. make sure frig/ac work, batteries, old/new ect. an one thing to look/beaware, a dealer can do a great job on detailing it. as to hide how it was kept by last owner.
