New to RV'ing and soon a Newmar Ventana 4037
Hello,
It's great to be here and I found this forum having already made a post or two so many thanks to all that have been so friendly here already.
I am a former Air Force A-10 pilot and then software business owner having started the business while in the Air Force hence going on 20 years. I loved traveling the world in the Air Force and have been anchored to a house (love my house) in Richmond, VA and feeling the urge to see the great USA more than before among retracing some of my Air Force days.
I camped and hiked when younger and while I don't have much desire for tents and sleeping bags I do look forward to getting to those great areas where the air is clean and the stress is less. My neighbors RV and I've talked with them of their experiences. I'm single and have a yellow lab so my only fear is it being a lonely experience. I have my Ventana on order setup with the office area so that I can work from anywhere with my business as long as I have an Internet connection, even at that at times I don't need one.
I am taking factory delivery of my Ventana late May early June so instead of an hour and a half orientation at my local dealer I can gain thorough knowledge from the factory tour and intro. I know NOTHING about RV's other than what I learned in the past month at a local RV show and time with my local dealer, and the outstanding salesman I was fortunate to have (Bob C.).
I look forward to learning from all of you here. Just like when I got into boating about 5 years ago knowing nothing about boating I'm sure I'll ask some embarrassing questions and call something wrong as I learn the new RV speak.
I'm looking forward to joining the clubs, attending ralleys, and just destressing my life by hitting the road and seeing the great scenery of this new venture ahead.

Welcome aboard! You are among friends who will go out of their way to help.
I have benefited greatly from the members and usually wind up on the Class A or Newmar owners forum.
There are also many good MH related vids on YouTube.
You have an exiting adventure ahead of you. Best wishes.

Hey neighbor, welcome to the forum. You will be very happy with the desk/dinette area. We have that option in ours and works great.
We just picked up our new Ventana a couple of weeks ago and we are really impressed with the quality and materials used to build it. Hope you get out and enjoy it.
