New to RVing and to this site
Hi:
My husband and I just bought a National Pacifica 40' last Friday. Don't even have it in our driveway yet. We live in the East Bay in CA. I work from home so we are hoping to set me up so I can work when I want from the RV. That way we can make longer trips and I can work some days..and some days not. Haven't figured that out quite yet, but thinking of starting out with the Autonet. As I said we are new to RVing. Needless to say we are excited.
Looking forward to learning a lot from all of you, so far what I have read has been very helpful.

Welcome and enjoy. Be sure when you ask questions to give as many specifics on the equipment as you can. Many experts that can help.

Thanks everyone. I'm loving this site, so many knowledgable and fun people. We have so much to learn and we are looking forward to all of it. I'm a quilter and scrapbooker and hope to do some of that from the motorhome. My husband loves astronomy and we have a great telescope that we will bring along so he can use it and teach me about it. Just so many places we want to go and see. We are coming ashore from owning a large sailboat, a 45 ft. C&L Explorer. We've traded the sea for the land..sort of because we still have a 27 ft. ODay sailboat.

Well it has been a bit of a journey, but finally got to use our RV. We bought it on March 1, they did maintenance and their 135 pt inspection and we picked up March 18. Had it home in the driveway and never got th superslide to work once. The electrical was all kinds of wrong...step would come and stop halfway, outside lights would work, then stop working, batteries even were boiling one time. After 3 hours of phone time decided it would have to go back for more work. My DH did lots of research and messing about with the MH and we had a list 7 things long when we arrived on March 25. Did I mention it is a 100 mile drive every time we have to take it back? DH discovered the BCC (battery control center) was not working properly. You could tap on a relay and get the step to come out...if it had decided not to. 3 weeks later we still did not have it back. The BCC finally got fixed though and that resolved some other issues. The superslide still is not working. Our first trip was sked for April 18 last week. When they told us the slide is still not fixed on Friday April 12 we were destroyed. I finally said "we will go pick it up and take the trip and not use the big slide". My DH at first thought I was nuts. But we had friends joining us and disappointed doesn't cover how I was feeling. Packed the car to the top with ever RV thing we had bought in last 3 weeks. Put the two cats in their carriers and loaded them up...and off we went. DH drove the MH and I was the lead car with kitties. It was a little over an hour and we arrived to Plymouth, CA and 5 nights of pure joy. We love our RV and know once that superslide is out it will be even better. We made the most of it and used everything in the MH and everything worked great. No more to add to the list...just fix that slide pls. I even worked from the MH part of the time. It is everything we wanted and now we have experienced it. I love our MH. The cats did great too. So Tues April 23 we took it back, sadly, to leave it to have the final repair. I think they were relieved we had nothing to add to the list. Have a trip planned May 16 to Paso Robles for their Winefest. I will be calling them a lot to make sure our repair gets done soon. I want to load it from the driveway next trip. Just can't wait to use it fully functional next trip.
I have heard everyone has a story, we heard a few of them in the RV park..guess that is mine. But the moral of the story is "Life is Good".
