new to rv's

i am thinking about buying a national rv, tradewind model 37'.it is a 300hp diesel. don't know anything about the difference between manufactures. i know they went under, but is that a deal breaker, and how about the quality of this manufacture compared to others. i would imagine this would be a hard question to ask, but maybe not. any info would be helpful. thanks,

Hello and welcome to IRV2. I can't help you but you may want to post under the National RV section further down the page where I am sure you will get more help. Good luck with your search.

You could have issues with some parts availability but the important stuff is used in all rv's. (refrigerator, water heater, stove, etc) If you have a warranty then it will be with the dealer and not the manufacturer. The engine, transmission and chassis are probably generic to other rv's also and can be serviced by any reputable shop. If the rig is in good shape It would not bother me that the brand was no longer made.
