New to RV's
After retirement considering RV touring until we find a place to settle. Want to explore the southwest US and know nothing right now about RV's. Things we will have to learn are going to be explored before we commit. Still have a few years but very excited to have a goal and to be learning new things. Starting at this forum, seems like a great place to get the facts and opinions of knowledgeable RV's.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
Steve

I'd suggest renting a class C for a couple weeks and you will gain some pretty good first hand information.
It will help you select a RV in the future.
The most important issue is the floor plan and Momma must be happy with that, otherwise you won't be happy because if Momma ain't happy nobody is happy.

Howdy and welcome to the forum. Glad you joined us. Sounds like you have the correct plan for your future decisions. Test a few rv's, floorplan is usually the most important as mentioned already and travel around to find the spot that suits you best. The southwest is a great area to explore. Have a great time, be safe and Happy Motoring!!!

Hi Steve, you came to the right place. Read and ask questions. Renting is always a good option. It'll open a few options for you. Type of RV, size, and it will give you the chance to meet other RVers. Good luck and safe travels.

Hello and welcome to IRV2. RVing is a great lifestyle. We have met so many nice people in our travels. Some have become good friends and we get together whenever we can. After you decide on the rig you want, I would suggest doing alot of weekend and week trips to get used to things while you are still close to home. Enjoy!

Welcome - there is a wealth of RV knowledge on this site from folks who have RVed much more than we have. We are new to the game as well and have truly enjoyed it. Happy travels
