New to the camping world ......
Hi Everyone, my wife and I just purchased a 2013 Heartland Wilderness 2750RL with plans to go West! First, of course, we'll gain a little experience by traveling down to warm and friendly Florida. Hopefully over the next several months we'll gain the confidence to make the big trip. I'm coming on here to learn from your experiences, possibly make a few new friends, and enjoy the moments.

Welcome
Nowadays there are so many resources available nowadays that spending a lot of time practicing to RV may not be necessary. Walmart, camping stores, auto parts will fill in the gaps you find.
As long as you can drive it, park it and back it up you should be good. Practice in a local parking lot. Know that no matter how much you practice there will still come a time when backing it up you will be the center of attention and possibly the humor of the day. We all go through issues like that.
Biggest thing is preparing for the trip. It does not matter what you pack or how much you will inevitably pack stuff that will not be used. This is a never ending, continual process. After 10 years on the road with our RV and over 20 with our motorcycle popup we still are evolving.
Always know there are places to buy stuff you need and many charities, etc will take the stuff you have decided has taken up space too for too long.

Welcome and glad to meet you!
Welcome to sunny, wet, cold, sunny, hot and humid Florida. As you can surmise, the weather changes often here.
