New to the RV world
Hi! My name is Cora and we recently bought a used RV and have yet to make our first trip! We are working out some battery issues and then hope to go! Any hints on dos and don'ts are much appreciated!

There are so many avenues you can take once you start.

If possible I suggest camping in front of your house for a night. Helps you discover things that are easier to take care of while at home. Like your battery issue.
When you do go on a camping trip get to the campground BEFORE dark.
Don't worry if you forget some items. There are Walmarts everywhere.

I would keep your first few trips close (couple hundred miles from home). When we first got ours we found new things we needed each time we went out. But that's half the fun of it outfitting your motorhome. We have ours set now that it's always ready to roll, even with clothes. The more you use it the more comfortable you'll be driving, manuvering it, setting it up ect. After several short trips we finally took a 3 week trip covering 2600 miles and it was great....have fun and stay safe

The only "Do's" and "Don't's" I can give are as follows:
Do - take your RV on as many trips as possible.. enjoy meeting new friends and seeing new places..
Don't - let your RV sit in the driveway !!

Welcome Cora. We were all new RV owners once. This is the place that helped us the most as we started and continued along the journey. Search around the site for the forum that most closely matches your questions/problems, post the question as clearly as possible.....and you will receive a bunch of good advise from people who know how all this stuff works. Enjoy your new (to you) RV.
