Hello everyone,
I am a new member to the site. I usually was always at the Trailerlife forum but did a search for some things and found this site.
My wife and I bought a Grand Junction 35TMS in July of 2006. We have done several trips but that stopped when I deployed to Balad,Iraq in February of 2007. I now am due to come home next month. I am one of the lucky army guys not doing 15 months, only 12 at a time.
We are planning a big trip for late spring after I get home and get the 5ver all out of storage and ready to go.

Welcome to iRV2. I feel you have found the friendliest RV forum around! This is one of the most knowledgable group of RV owners out there, so please feel free to ask away.
I would also like to thank you for serving this great country this past year. We look forward to seeing you back home and traveling with your family.
Again welcome home & welcome to the iRV2 forum!

Thanks for the welcome guys.
One thing I have to do when I get home is find tires. My 5ver has sat for more than a year in the Texas heat, tires were covered but I do not trust them for my trip. My axles are 7k and my weight on axles is about 12,200 if I remember when I CAT scaled it. I'd like to have a tire with a lot of excessive load capacity vs. one that I am right at capacity. Any ideas? I considered G614 GY's since I will be way lower than capacity thought they might work.

Welcome sheer20 to irv2.
Many thanks also for your service from a former Army man.
I'll short cut your question down to a 5th wheel forum for some answers.
Get back safe and get camping with your family.

sherr20,
Let me add my welcome to iRV2.com. We're glad to have you with us. I also want to add my thanks to you for your service to our country - keep your head down and get home safely!
The G614 RST is rated at 3750 lbs per tire @ 110 PSIG, so 4 of them should be good for 15,000 lbs. These were the OEM tire on my 5th wheel (see signature) and gave no problems for 3 years, then I lost 2 of them within 3 months. Running under a somewhat lighter rig, though, they may give you the reliability you're seeking. There's a thread on the G614 RST down under the Travel Trailer and 5th Wheel - General Discussion forum.
