New to this forum

Hello everyone,
We are selling our travel trailer and purchasing a 2007 Winnebago Access. The only thing is the generator doesn't operate the a/c, but the generator is a 4000 kW I think that should be enough to run it. I'm was wondering from you guys want the issue might be, if anyone has ran into this problem. A/c works when it's plugged in. Could there be a circuit breaker popped and a wire disconnected?
Any comments welcome.

Glad to have you here with us in the forum.

If the generator is not powering anything look on the side of it, there should be circuit breaks and you may one tripped. Do any other AC appliances work?

Happy Trails!!!

should be more than enough to run the a/c

what exactly happens when you attempt to turn on the a/c?

Does the genset stay running? Does the a/c fan come on? Is the thermostat operational? Does the compressor attempt to turn on? so forth?

Check the breakers on the back side of the generator. Also, does the Access have a transfer switch to switch from generator to shore power. If no transfer switch, you will have a plug in the power bay to plug the coach into the generator.

Generator issues

Plasma800 and everyone else.
I will be going back out to look at the camper and make sure the a/c , furnace, water pump and faucets work on wed.
I started the gen with out a issue, and with try what you suggested plasma800. I was told the a/c doesn't do anything with the gen but shore power is fine, we will see.
Also I will look for the transfer switch or breakers. I thought something could be disconnected also.
A class b+ is a whole new game for me. I need to learn more about the gen and the slide out motors and wiring.
Will check back in with you guys in a few days.
Gary

Txiceman,
I think I know what you are talking about. We looked at a truck camper that if you didn't plug the shore cord into a outlet in the area where the cord is stored you wouldn't have anything when the generator is running. Is this right?
