New to this forum.

Hi everyone, this is my first time on iRV2. I found iRV2 while searching the web for information regarding an open ground condition. I was able to convince the owner to contact an electrician to correct the problem. One thread I was reading was someone was asking how to prevent theft of the surge protector but now cannot find it to respond. Here is a photo of my solution, hope it helps.

Welcome to the forum. The problem of theft is one or the reasons we hardwired our EMS (Progressive) in the electric bay with a remote monitor mounted in the rig.

You are joining a good group of friends here with good information to share. Read the various threads here and ask questions as the come up or add information if you can.

Good luck and enjoy the adventure!

On the flipside, in the 47 years of camping with my wife in everything from a 2 "man" pup tent (cozy for newlyweds!) to our current diesel pusher , we have never ever had anything stolen!

Nice to have you here with us.

Thank you for the photo of your anti-theft solution for your surge protector.

For about the time span, I had the same experience. Losses now, that is an entirely different story.
However removing temptation is the best protection. Great idea. Welcome aboard.

The only thing I've had stolen in my many years is my beer cooler. I've heard of people having their cooler with all their meat in it stolen also but I would imagine the theives were pissed when they were expecting to have a cool one.

WELCOME!
I went with a hard wire Surge Guard for three reasons:
1. Has a higher joules rating
2. You can't forget it (I know several people who have done that)
3. Can't be stolen because no one knows that you have it.
