New to This Site

Hi all, just joined your site. We have been RVing since 1969 when we purchased our first 8' slide in pick up camper. Three years later we upgraded to a 12 1/2 foot cabover camper with a shower. We thought we had died and went to heaven. From there we went to travel trailers and here we are today still doing it 45 years later with an 06 Alumascape fiver. Were a little slower but we are still hanging in and having fun. We live in Central Texas and like just about anything outdoors. Besides RVing we like going to car and truck shows. We have a restored 64 Falcon Sprint convertible, 65 Ford F-100 Ranger pick up and two restored 18 wheeler trucks that we take to the truck shows. I guess that you could say that we fit right into the mobile society that we all live in today.

I don't want to get into trouble for posting non RV related pictures here, but I guess the pictures I am posting does have some RV connections.

My two big trucks and I do pull my trailer with them every now and then.

This picture was made in 06. Shortly after I traded the Alumilite for an 06Alumascape fiver.

Here is a tight shot of the air ride trailer hitch I was using to pull the Alumilite. I can also pull the fiver with this same truck because of the short distance between the fifth wheel and he rear of the truck. The red truck has a tandem axle and the distance is to great to tow the fiver with. However I plan to install a RV type fifth wheel hitch on the rear of the frame that can easily be removed so I can also pull my fiver with the red truck.

You certainly are heading for trouble for not having posted pictures of the Sprint and Ranger as well.

Well here goes, pictures of the Sprint and the Ranger.

A bit of history on the 65 Ranger. 1965 was the first year the name Ranger was used on a Ford pick up and it was a full sized pick up. It was also the First year for the bucket seats. There were less than a thousand of these trucks built in 65.
