New to vintage DP from Wisconsin.

We’re experienced campers nearing retirement age but had never owned a motor home before. Most recently we were pulling a 20’ TT with boat or ATV behind it with a 1500 diesel pickup.
We decided to go with a MH and quit pulling double trailers to have more freedom when traveling. That was a good idea but ending up with a 38’ DP didn’t really achieve the goal of increasing our mobility.
We love the thing though and after some immediate repairs I think we’re up and running. It’s a 2000 Newmar Dutch Star with an 8.3 Cummins and Allison trans on a Spartan chassis. Thanks for allowing us in !

Congratulations on your new coach!! I LOVE my Class A's and I have only owned Vintage.

I prefer them as they are WELL made and I can fix them up any way that I like. I am currently remodeling the inside, I got off all the old sealant on my roof (every joint and every hole cut into the roof), put on new sealant and rolled on a new roof. Next year I will be full body painting it. After that, I will have a whole new coach for around $13K (which includes what I paid for the coach).

I wish for many happy hours in your new addition!!
