Newbee not yet decided

Good Morning Everybody!

We didn’t know about this group till yesterday.

For months we have been looking for our perfect rig.
We found it finally Thor Outlaw 29. That's what we need but not what we want:
- Large cargo capacity for our multiple sport equipment
- No permanent bed taking 20% of the space
- No Dinette
- Incredible patio

but there is a but, 29 is too long. We are not ready (yet) for such "big mama", that will be its name, yes at least we have the name.

Looking for help & recommendation:
Is there any site we could compare floor plan? Select key feature and get selection?

Any direct recommendation for class A or C max 25-25 long, with no dinette, no permanent bed / overhead bed offering huge storage capacity: 1 motorcycle, 2 bikes, kite & surf stuff.

Enjoy the journey and thanks in advance

Patrick

Welcome to the form. Thor recently has seemed to have quality issues. We like class A's they seem to deliver a better ride.

Welcome

Welcome to the Forum.

You might want to look for another manufacturer besides Thor. They support their warranty, but you will need it. And if you buy used - no warranty.

When you look for 25 ft. RVs, pay attention to the OCCC. This is carrying capacity. Your motorcycle could put you overweight on most 25' class C based on Sprinter van chassis. Class C's and A's based on Ford E450 and F53 chassis could probably carry a motorcycle. Long ago I tried to carry my DR650 and was never happy with the stability of the carriers that I tried.

If you find one with a Dinette, remember that you can remove items that you don't like.

Don't be afraid of 29 ft. After a little while you will get used to it. When we started out, we tried several smaller RVs and did not tow. Eventually got larger RVs and towed our small pickup.

Good luck in your search.

Jerry

Welcome to the forum!!

- Large cargo capacity for our multiple sport equipment - Class A has far more storage than a Class C
- No permanent bed taking 20% of the space - find one with a murphy bed
- No Dinette - custom order?
- Incredible patio - large awning or something else?
- No overhead bed - look for a Class A with optional overhead bed like Entegra Vision
-Huge storage capacity: 1 motorcycle, 2 bikes, kite & surf stuff - tow a trailer

Welcome Patrick!
Our motorhome does not have a dinette, we have a table and chairs, we remove them when we want the extra space. Have you looked at units with a garage? Many of them also have a 'patio' that might interest you. Many of the RV sellers have websites that can help narrow the units you are shown, that may help your search.

Good to have you here and I look forward to reading about your adventures. Sit back, relax and please, above all……stay safe out there!

Welcome, you will surely get plenty of opinions here, its a great forum.

Here is mine: We started with looking at Thor and Atlas but for the money went to a smaller Class A 34 feet. Usually it’s not the total length that may be tricky, (depending on whether you want to go to the store, or other tight areas) it’s the width. 8’6” seems enormous at first but you will get used to it.

Enjoy the hunt!

I’ll just say it… getting all you want in a 25’ motor home is probably not happening. You can get nice MH’s in that length, but your toys will need to stay outside, perhaps in an enclosed trailer.

Yes, you're probably right.
We did all our search, and made maximum compromise no dinette & no permanent bed to get all our gears in & a patio. We end up with only 1 option Thor class C outlaw 29.
Because we can't go small as we would like, shall be go big with Class A Outlaw 38? is our new challenge.
Price difference is huge but some used one looks very well maintained.
