Newbees
Hello,
We are R2LaMigra and Cateyes. I worked for USINS, before that agency was done away with, and still work for US Customs and Border Protection, under the Department of Homeland Security. We are the folks you interact with when you come across the border into the US (At legal crossing points...US Border Patrol is who you'll interact with elsewhere VBG). Cateyes, well, she's a cat type person, _she's_ got 3 and a Chow mix named Cinnamon. I've got 2, against my better wishes, and a Chow mix named Coal.
We are sorta new to RVing, we just bought a 2003 something or other, I'll have to post back on that, we've been looking at so many, and I've slept since Saturday. However, we aren't totally new to the game, we have a Forest River TT that we've not had on the road, it has been in an RV park since we bought it 5 years ago.

Welcome "Neewbee's" I just joined also. finding my way around this website. I have a Lexington B+ 25ft just got it last year in May. I love it, I have a friend in Deming. I also have 2 pups yorkies. I'm wondering why you don't get yours off the lot and use it ? "as they say use it or lose it" they were meant to get on the road and have some fun. I went to Quartsite in 2010 with my old rv and had a blast during their 2 weeks in Jan. the dessert was beautiful and "wow" the "stars" the coyotes sang me to sleep every night, it was a "Great" Adventure !
"Get yourselves on the road and experience life" "Safe and Happy adventures" and may God Bless you and your RV.

Wow, thank you to all the folks that chimed in, we really appreciate the warm welcome!
To answer a couple of questions...well, one anyway, we bought the travel trailer as a place for Cateyes to live while she's working elsewhere. We re getting close to retirement, next year for Cateyes, January '14 for me, and we knew the TT wasn't going to cut it as a full time place to live. So we went shopping, found a 2000 National whatever, 37" for $30K. We thought that was pretty decent, but 139K on the odometer. Howsomeever, the Credit Union said they would only go back 7 years (BOO, HISS, HISS!). So, we went looking else where, and found a 2003 Gulfstream 37' for a net $40k with the TT tradein. USAA crossed their finger last night and blessed that idea, so we will pick that baby up Monday AM. Then I have to park it and go back to El Paso for the rest of the week without even sleeping in it (BOO, HISS, HISS!)
I'll be baaaack!
