Hi Folks:
I took early retirement last year, partly because I wanted to have the time and health to visit all the places that I have dreamed of seeing here in the US. Last fall, I bought a used LER Dodge Van Conversion Camper. It's an older unit, 1993, but in good mechanical and physical condition. It's small, but it's just going to be me and my border Collie, Kallie, at least for now. I figured that this would be a reasonable way to get my feet wet, without having to put out many thousands of dollars on a big RV. I stumbled across this site while looking for RV service in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, as I will be going through there next week on my way to Texas. Perhaps you all can give me some advice. While the vehicle is in good shape, it hasn't been used much in the last several years. It includes an under carriage LP tank, and LP stove, and an LP furnace. I haven't wanted to try using the LP system until I can find someone knowledgible to look it over. Any suggestions, or other advice? I know that this forum is for introductions, so I'll take the rest of my questions on to more appropriate forums. Thanks. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Welcome. I would have the entire mechanical system, tires and LP system checked before traveling. Have a local Dodge dealer check the mechanics and a rv dealer the LP. Happy Trails!

Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you with us!
Sorry I can't help with questions on your rig. I would suggest that you post specific questions over in the appropriate areas of the forum for better results. Not too many folks hang out here in the Welcome area.
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, and for the advice. I will take my specific questions to the appropriate forums. I have had the rig thoroughly checked out mechanically, all new brakes, replaced the u-joint, new plugs and wires, tune-up, etc. The tires are good, though not snows. There is no one up here where I live that can check out the LP system.

Welcome to the group. A RV dealer will have someone that can check out your propane and give you some help. Good luck and safe travels.
