Newbie.. 1999 Excella 1000 (TT) 34ft

Howdy! We are third owner of a 1999 Excella 1000 by Airstream. Like all in life, the Excella has experienced it's own 'aging' process. However, it is in very good shape and totally usable.

Anyhow, my bride and I have hoped to achieve this for 37 years of marriage, 3 sons, 2 great DIL (Daughter's in 4 granddaughters, 1 grandson... we have had one outing so far.. a short, 'shakedown' cruise...

All the best to y'all...

CWF;

Welcome to iRV2. We are glad you joined us. Congratulations on the purchase of your first RV. Your post caught my attention because my DW and I were married 35 years before we purchased our first RV. It was a 87 Pace Arrow. We were so excited and anxious to get it out on the road. Our children were grown up and married and we had 6 grandchildren. We made a list of our grandchildren and started taking them on weekend camping trips. We would put a check mark next to their name and when we completed our first pass on the list, the grandchildren came and said Grandpa can we start over on the list now?

We had some great times and have some great memories. But now our grandchildren are getting married and starting to have kids of their own. Our great grandchildren are to young to appreciate camping. We are suffering from empty nest syndrome. We even thought of adopting some grandchildren.

So my advice is get that RV out on the road and take those grandchildren out camping and make some great memories. My grandchildren tell me they have never forgotten the great times they have had with us.

Don

Glad you joined our group. Know what you mean about the grand children. Before we had any I didn't see what the big deal was. Boy was I stupid. They are the greatest things in the world. We spoil them then take them home to their parents.

welcome to iRV2. This website has a sister site at Airstream Trailer & Motorhome Owners Community dedicated to Air Streams. Lots of good AS knowledge there.

Howdy, again!
Thanks for the encouragement and warm welcome, y'all!

We affectionately call the 'grandchildren', "grandKritters"... or "rent-a-kid"... I am rapidly 'avenging' myself by teaching grandkritters how to annoy their parents.. hehe.. well.... not really, but I do tease their parents about it..

So, the Airstream is our adventure in that direction... as Petrol and others have noted.. 'Message received'...

Thanks again!
