Hi Newbie,

Welcome to the Forum! You are going to love your Winnebago! They are nice rigs.

Little advice, get a water pressure regulator valve and water filter. Both can be bought at Walmart for around $40 for both. The regulator because CG's (camp grounds) often have high water pressure and it can blow your RV pipes. Don't want that happening.

Camp in your driveway the first few times so you get used to the rig and if you forgot anything, it is right in the house or garage. Then go close to a small CG and feel free to ask fellow campers questions, they usually are happy to help. Just say, Hey, I am new and have some questions, could you help me. Worked for us.

Check the roof seal twice a year, spring and fall. Seal it if it needs it because a roof leak will ruin your rig. Your rig needs regular maintenance to keep it in good shape so you can all be happy inside it.

Take your time and enjoy it. You'll make mistakes but that is part of the fun. I took a cold shower the first time because I didn't know I had to turn the water heater on. We now turn it on in the morning, have our coffee, take a shower, and do dishes, and then turn it off so as not to use propane all day long when we don't need the hot water.

You'll do great and these things are a lot of fun. Enjoy, Lynne

Welcome Momof5! You will love the folks on this site. No dumb questions. Believe me, I've asked a lot of them! We have a big rig, but black tanks are all the same! All great advice from Beamisl.
