Newbie!

Hi! I am Robert and this is my first RV!
I purchased a 2004 Crossroads bumper pull 28 footer with one 12' slide out!
An older couple had bought it new and kept it up very well!
I am looking forward to getting to know you all! I am parked in North Carolina for a bit to get use to the idiosyncrasies of RV life!
Thanks in advance for any and all help! I can see I am going to need it!

Well, this is a lot to owning and driving a motorhome and the work of keeping it up and running well. Do hope you and the seller did a walking tour. As winter is fastly approaching I hope you found a warm spot to park or your pipes will freeze up and pop if not careful. Are you staying in it or parking it until ready to roll out. If your parking until that special time you may want to winterize your water lines. YOUTUBE can be handy for learning from other RVers. Good Luck.

I am staying in it for the winter! Me and my two doggies! Yes I had it looked at by a "professional " and it had a clean bill of health! I expect there to be problems like with any thing used and 16 years old!

Welcome aboard!

I see you are in Maine and staying in it for the winter.

How are you heating it?

Are you in an RV Park?

How did you see Maine?? Yes in Nc for the winter parked at my friends house to help him out! He has had a rough time recently!
I have a small electric heater and I have the propane tanks and furnace! I see you are from Clovis, Ca . I spent 30 years in Ashland, Oregon and I still miss it but I got tired of all the fires on the west coast!
Thanks for say hello!

Thank you all for welcoming me to the group!
Where do I post questions if I am having problems and need help? Specifically with my Dometic fridge?
Thanks
Robert

red7654 your profile says Westbrook maine. Should be warmer in North Carolina for sure.

Years ago I used to go to Ashland every year for a week with a group of college students who studied Shakespeare. We'd see 6 plays, very nice town. You don't happen to know Ron Danko? He was big in the theater there.

Yes Ashland is a very special little town! I probably would still be there if not for all the forest fires in southern Oregon over the last 5 years!
The name sounds familiar but can't say I know him!
Did you survive the fires this summer without to much damage I hope? The footage on the news was horrific!
