Newbie Class B'ers!

Hello everyone,
I was so thrilled to find this site with UP-TO-DATE posts! Most other sites I have gone to list their posts as "Newest - February 2009" or some even older posts. You guys are active now! Brilliant. And, oh my goodness, I have just bought an RV gps purely based on what I read here. I am sure it will be perfect for us, and a bunch cheaper than others recommended on other sites. We have had one (very successful) trip last weekend to Burraston Ponds (UT), and are planning to go to a campsite in southern Idaho next week, because we need to learn how to handle hookups etc. We are taking my stepson, cos he has experience with his Mom's fifth wheel, so will be a big help. This trip and the first one are both one-nighters, but we want to go to Montana soon for three or four days - looking at Bozeman to see Casey Anderson's Montana Grizzly Experience (I just purely adore Brutus) - so I will have to find where to post what happened when. Thank you for this site, I will visit a whole lot!

I Purely LOVE This Site

So many kind messages of welcome -I asked what is probably the first of many dumb questions on the Class B forum, and within an hour got a really helpful answer from a Senior member. How very nice you all are! I will reccomend iRV2 to everyone I meet on trips from now on!

Welcome to the forum! Yours is the first post I am replying to! Which GPS did you get, if you don't mind. We will need one as well.

Thanks!

RV GPS

After a lot of back-and-forthing and reading posts we settled for a Rand McNally 7715 - it was only sold at Walmart, and has now been superceded by the 7720 - at a much higher price. I found one on e-bay for $180 and promptly bought it. It has almost all of the features of the 7720, but the ones it doesn't have we don't need. I think it will be just perfect AND if we can figure out how to do it, we can connect our rear-view camera (which doesn't currently work) to it, and bingo! I think the problem with the camera is bad connections, so with any luck we can renew the wiring and all will be good. I will keep posting, to let everyone know how we got on!
