Hi ALL !
What a bunch of nice people you all seem to be. I see so many people helping each other and sending words of encouragement to your internet camping buddies. and I've already got some good advice from a few of you. THANK YOU !
Although we only JUST joined this site, The Senator and I have been camping/motoring for many MANY years. From under the stars, tents, vans, pop-ups, to class A, B, and C's. but as you all know, when it comes to camping/rving/motoring no "one camper" knows everything, and we learn from our mistakes. but THANK GOODNESS you have some "pros" on here to share their tips ! And GREAT how ALL the seasoned campers give advice from their own experiences no matter how big or small, without letting anyone feel "small", allowing a person to see their choices in options to solve their problem (s) . That's awesome !
About hubby. He's a veteran and Now that he's retired (from work since 2006/ but not his music), we've had even more time to hit the road.
We're at home right now and in the process of loading up the Rambler to hit the road again soon. This time I might decide to start a blog or write some "shorties" on our upcoming adventures. (notice how i said "MIGHT" ... ha ha ha ..)
Me- I was a portrait photographer, past 12 yrs been doing event planning, booking the band, and own a travel agency (my laptop is my office).
Don't let our usernames fool ya. and yeah, i DID post this on that "Where did you get yer username" forum.....
Java Memah - yeah I'm a "Memah" but too young, I FEEL, to be called Grandma, and I absolutely LUV my coffee (java).
The Senator- Ha ha ha ... no he's not a politician, it's just his stage name cause he wears a hat that makes him look like an official, and from time to time he has been known to smoke a cigar.
He's a singer/songwriter in "The ROUTE 66 BAND" out of Hudson Valley NY. They've been entertaining our area for over 30 yrs. (60's and 70's classics).
Yeah, I'm a "Band Widow" ... HAH .... The senator and I have been married for 35 yrs, raised 3 kids(now adults with babes of their own).
I joined all the clubs, forums that pertain to us, and from time to time, will more than likely post a question or two ... or just put in my 2 cents worth if I think I can help.
So, now that you know a little bit about us. I think I'll go skip around the site to get to know some of you good people a little better, for a while.
HAPPY CAMPING EVERYONE, and may you ALL have safe and Happy Holidays.
