Newbie from Hockley TX

Hello everyone from Hockley TX! I am new to RV'ing and I bought a 1994 Bounder 34J from a friend that is in great shape. I will be hitting the road sometime in March. I will have to stay in the Texas area for the first 6 months or so to make my doctor at the Houston VA happy. I will be traveling with my service dog full time. My name is Leon and hers is Onyx and she is a Black Lab. I am a 37 year old Retired Combat Veteran, so I know that I am a little young to go fulltime but I may not be able to later in life. I look forward to meeting everyone out there. Thanks for all the help that I have received so far, you guys and gals are GREAT!

And a HI HO to you and Onyx. We started out fulltime 7 years ago in a 1996 Bounder 38J. Great machine and took us many places. Welcome to the forum.

If we don't hear of any, that just means you're off-line

But, it is GREAT fun. Welcome aboard, Leon.

BTW: I think we all agree on 15 as the cutoff for being too young to fulltime! At least, many of us would be RV'ing the day we earned our licenses, if we had life to live over again.

Hi Leon and Onyx

Welcome to the forums! Glad you found irv2.com and hope to see you post your adventures often!

The big metropolis of Hockley is just up the road from us here in Cypress........so we're practically neighbors!

Consider this an invitation to join in on the posts in the Texas Boomers forum in South Central Section under rallies and groups (bottom forum on the main page) and come join us at any of the upcoming rallies and campouts that are posted for 2012 ..... anytime you can! We'd love to meet you and we've got lots of furr-kids who'll make Onyx welcome too!

Sandy

Welcome and thanks for your service in defense of our country. As a veteran, be sure to check the military forum on irv2. It's a great place to ask questions about dealing with the VA. Many of us have years of experience with the VA and can help you whenever you need us.
