There are also a few cheap options along the coast, I think one of the county governments has an RV park or two on the water around Rockport (I have not stayed there), there is also Sea Rim State park at Sabine pass with $20 per night full hookups, though only a handful of spaces. You might also add Lake Livingston State park to the list, I hear they have recently rebuilt at least some of their RV campgrounds. Another option is the rv campground by the new indian Casino near Woodville, only issue here is check in must be before about 5 pm when they lock the gate.
