Newbie from Kissimmee florida
we just bought a 2004 Winnebago brave our first. A 32v we are thinking about buying a extended warranty but have nothing to compare to. Good idea or not? And who's the most reputable? And what should I expect to pay. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi folks! Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you join the gang!
Personally, I don't take extended warranties. I think in most cases you will never collect as much as you paid in. Of course, there are exceptions to this and it's a choice you have to make. JMHO!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Welcome aboard....Congrats on the new to you Winnie....The Extended Warranty issue is an age old argument....It's a gamble and most of the time you lose, although there are a few winners,,It's a tough decision to make...Good Luck...

Howdy and welcome aboard. Can't help with the extended warranty question as we don't get them. Congrats on the purchase and hope you enjoy all your future travels.

There have been many posting here that were very happy to have had an extended warranty, but statistically they represent a small percentage. Most of us will be money ahead putting an amount equal to the premiums quoted for an extended warranty policy in a savings account. When it comes time to sell or trade this coach for the next one odds are most of that money will still be there.
It's a personal choice. Some think the "peace of mind" is worth the price, even if they never use it.
Casino's don't make money on the backs of the winners and extended warranty companies don't make money paying out more (statistically) than they collect in premiums.

We don't typically go for extended warranties. As some have stated, it's a gamble and I agree with those that say just put back the $ you would pay in premiums and you will typically come out ahead.
That being said, I would also take in to consideration the age and condition of the RV.
Good luck and safe travels.
