Newbie from Montana
My wife and I have been out of the RV world for some time, and we are considering which way to go as we start over, fifth wheel or motor home. I am a retired fighter pilot, and served 35 years in our military, mostly the USAF. We have been retired for some time now, and my pass time has been building, flying, and occasionally buying/selling experimental airplanes. Now, it is time to travel a bit and get away from the cold Montana winters. Jim & Marty Cash.

Welcome to irv2 and best of luck with your decision. We've had 5th wheels and just bought a MH a year ago. Can't wait to get it out of the shed and use it this year if it ever warms up!

Can't go wrong either way.
Spend a little time at Glasgow AFB in the mid 70's. Don't blame you for wanting to get out and travel.

Welcome to the forum!
That's a really personal decision and just depends what you like. Fifth wheels are easy to hitch up and unhitch and you'll have just one engine to maintain and fewer tires. Motorhomes might be more expensive for the same age/quality/size, but you'll have a car to drive around instead of a truck...
Mostly, get the one where you walk inside and say "I LOVE this" !!!
