Newbie from SoCal w Thor ACE 29.2

Hi all,

I am an owner of a 2014 Thor ACE 29.2. My DW and purchased the MH in September of this year. We owned a small TT previously; however, since our 15 mo old granddaughter is with us on all our camping trips we needed more room. (She is tons of cute, but she doesn't seem to overload the ACE. )

I will not be posting much. I am hear to learn, mostly.

Welcome and glad to meet you!

We recently had our 15 month old granddaughter and her mom along for 2 weeks. It was great having them, but we were happy when it was time for them to go home.

Well so what you're saying is if you bought the MH on cuteness ccc you would have bought a stripped K3 chassis to handle the load?

Congrats on your new motorhome. It's on the shortlist for 1 of 2 types of scenarios we're considering. (Well the 30.2)

You're an experienced camper though so i'll be asking you for advice Enjoy the forums, most of us (those who aren't me) are not curmudgeon's so jump right in and share your knowledge with us!

Welcome to IRV2, you will find some great information here. We have a Thor Hurricane bought last year. We traveled over 3500 miles this last summer going out west form N. Texas. I got a wealth of information from this group before we left and during the trip. I'm sure you will find the folks here helpful as we did.

Happy Travels

we have the model ACE 29.2 2013,,,we were fortunate to have the improved movement of the generator to the rear right side and have not had any issues with it, we did have issues with the macerator and simply disconnected it and run the slinky from the left side, under the MH to the dump site. We also extended the right bedroom closet to the table top and now have a full length closet. There are many mods made to the ACE...just search ACE and you will find many projects!
Enjoy your unit and granddaughter ( we take our grandkids with us as much as we can.
