Newbie from Virginia

Currently in the learning phase but planning to sell the s&b next spring and hit the road. I have learned a lot on this forum already as a guest.
We have decided on the 5th wheel but still narrowing the list of models. Been to several dealers looking at 5ers. We will be attending the big Hershey show in Sept and taking a few factory tours this summer.

Hope to be parked next too some of you a year from now.

First quick question. I notice the campfires on the posts but have not figured out the meaning and how they work.

Campfires & Titles
The number of campfires are dependent on the number of posts.

0 to 9 = No fire
10 to 74 = 1 campfire
75 to 249 = 2 campfires
250 to 499 = 3 campfires
500 to 999 = 4 campfires
1000 to 2499 = 5 campfires
2500 to 4999 = 6 campfires
5000 to 9999 = 7 campfires
10,000 and up = 8 campfires
Each 5000 posts above 10,000 one campfire will turn blue

The user title is also dependent on the number of posts.

Junior Member = 0 - 29 posts
Member = 30 - 99 posts
Senior Member - 100 or more posts

Glad to have you here.

Perhaps we may wind up camped at the same place.

Thanks John and all. I will have to get started on a campfire I guess.

I sure enjoy the friendly helpful atmosphere of this forum. So many online forums get quite uncivilized.

One other question. Is there a dictionary of the frequently used acronyms on this forum? I have figured out many like DW and DH but sometimes I am not sure.

Welcome to the irv2 gang! You picked a great set of forums to research options. Folks here were very helpful for us when we were looking last year. You can find information on just about anything you can think of related to RVing.

Have fun with the research and good luck with your decision!
