Newbie in NC/SC

Hey! We just made an offer on our first RV yesterday! Fingers crossed! It is a 1989 Skyline Layton, already established on a campground with an amazing 10x24 ft screened in porch and a beautiful view of the lake. We didn't want to spend a lot as this is new to us and we want to see if we like it before we invest a lot of $$. The camper is in suprisingly good condition and the lot is unbeatable. I do have a question about the roof, if anyone can help me. It is a metal roof and it is very warped and bumpy. There are no signs of any current active leaks, but I was wondering if the roof warping is normal after years of sitting in the sun and the elements. Also, can you have a rubber roof put on a metal roof that is not comepletley flat? Any help will be appreciated! And once we get moving on this, I'm' sure I'll have a lot more questions! Thanks in advance for the help!

Howdy and welcome to the forum. I don't know about putting the rubber roof over one that is warped and bumpy. You probably should be VERY cautious about an RV of that age and condition. You might post any questions about the RV in the "VINTAGE OWNERS" section to see if anyone can help answer them. Sounds like a lovely location, but not very mobile!! Hope it works out for you.
