Newbie. Preparing for retirement.

Well we’ve decided to partake of the fruits of our labor. When the kids were young we purchased a bumper pull camper and joined a resort club thinking one day we may want to travel. That time is finally here. Kids are gone with families of their own and I plan to retire very soon. We have purchased a used 2004 Itasca Meridian 39K that has been well serviced and has always been garaged. Third party inspector says unit is in excellent condition. I plan to update the televisions and have the carpet removed and hardwood flooring installed (pre wife’s request). I’m here to learn from you guys about any RVing do’s and don’ts.
