Smile Newbie to forum and to RV'ing

My husband and I are going to pick up our new MH on Friday, March 8th. This is the first time we have ever had anything like this. My idea of camping has always been the Holiday Inn, etc. However, I am really excited about this but also somewhat apprehensive. We plan to live in it full time after we sell our house later this year, I think. That is the part that I am not real sure about. Going from a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house to a one bedroom home on wheels is really scary to me. However, our MH does have a half bath so we can at least get dressed at the same time.

We have discussed doing this for at least 5 years and now we are jumping in feet first.

Good luck in your adventure (and possible misadventures). Have fun with being full timer and be safe in all of your travels.

New MH

Cliff,

We will be picking up a 2013 Thor 35' Hurricane. Will post pictures as soon as we get it. Our dealer has a park with hook ups that we will be staying at for at least one night and probably two so we can learn how to do everything that has to be done with a MH. This might be a very interesting time for the dealer technicians that will be helping us.

Congrats on the new MH! Hope you enjoy it! Yep, that will be a BIG change! We've thought about doing that but haven't got up enough nerve yet!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Great to have you here. Congradulations on your new purchase. When you pick it up be sure to ASK,ASK,ASK! There are a lot of things to go over if you have never owned one. Just make sure that if you don't understand something make sure they explain it untill you do. Be sure to take notes as you go. I didn't and 2 days later I wished I had because there are so many things that they went over it was hard to absorb that fast. Good luck!!

Welcome ginny. Check out the thread Attention Newbies! No better way to learn about your camper than to go out and use it, and having others there to help figure things out might come in handy.
