Newbie to irv2

Just want to say hi.Very impressed with the irv2.com community. A little background history. Started out camping in a tent 1989 up @ the Oshkosh fly-in. Did that for about 5 years. The wife said that I had to get her up off the ground. Bought a used Jayco pop up. Used it until 2004 when we retired & came down to FL to the Sun-n-Fun fly-in. It had no air, well all it had was a 12 volt light in the ceiling. The fridge was an ice box that a seven lb. bag of ice would fill it up & only last a day. Well, she insisted on buying another pop up with air conditioning. Wow we were in heaven. Then in 2007 decided to trade & move up to a travel trailer. We bought a Sunline Que RE in Milwaukee, WI. Well, I decided that it is just to much work setting up & having to load & unload when ever we go camping. It is just to much for us seniors. So, now we are going to try the MH route. Found a real clean used MH. Think we will buy & give it a shot & see what happens. Hope I don't have to come back asking for help or advise as to how to fix a problem. But if I do, it appears there is a lot of help out there. Thank you in advance.

Welcome cvik! Don't be afraid to ask questions about anything. We've had our rig about a year and a half (our first) and had a lot of them and never were disappointed from the folks on this forum. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience here! Again, welcome and safe travels.

Carl & Gloria;

Your post caught me eye. I believe moving up to a Class A is a good move for you. My DW and I were self employed and worked about 55 hours per week for many years. A close friend approached us and told us we needed to slow down and start seeing the country around us. He talked us into trying camping for R & R. He than helped us find a good used Class A because he said we should start out with what we would end up with anyway.

Post often and share your RV adventures with us. Don' be afraid to ask questions.

Don

Welcome cvik! And don't ever be sorry for posting a question, it's kind of our reason to exist!

You don't say where you're originally from, but sounds like WI. Wishes for safe travels from a fellow Wisconsinite, who hopes to hit the road full time in the near future.

Happy trails...
