Trial by Fire :-0
Hello... While I am not new to forums and computer technology, I am new to the RV'ing world. This Friday, I am flying to NewYork to pick up our new motorhome.. Have never driven one but will drive home, along with a good friend for moral support for the 850 mile trip. Oh and I will be pulling a tow vehicle which just happened to come along with the motorhome.
Any first timers advice would be appreciated!.

What part of NY are you going to? Here on Long Island and in the Metro area we have parkways that prohibit trucks or motorhomes. Many of the parkways have low bridges. Every week or so the local paper has a picture of a rented truck that is stuck halfway under a stone overpass. Good Luck!

Yes it is a toll road. In most places it is usually well maintained. I used an EZ-Pass to pay tolls. It is good in the Northeast.

I know what you mean. I might be the Captain and Chief Engineer of this ship but she is the Admiral and Treasury Board .
