Talking Newbie to TTs

We have spent over 20 years tent camping (sometimes moto-camping) and always wondered why people bothered to bring the whole house when they went camping.... until an accident (motorcycle vs. 18-wheeler) made it practically impossible for us to sleep on the ground. We officially take back all the snarky comments we made to ourselves about rving! Anyway, not about to quit our favorite pastime, we began looking at homes on wheels.

Today, we are the proud owners of a 25' Puma travel trailer (having passed down our 19' to our daughter after a 3K mile test run). After our last motorcycle camping of 33 days and 6,500 miles, we know we can handle downsizing to bare minimum without many hiccups. We're even using our old camping gear in our travel trailer! Our goal is to downsize to full-time rving, put-put our way around the country and see places we have yet to see.

I expect we'll be spending a LOT of time on this site looking for hacks, tips, and tricks. One of the biggest ones we have yet to crack is getting solar power set up to run, if not the A/C, then at least the fan or space heater. Yes, I've gotten spoiled.

In the meantime, hello everyone! See you on the road!
